Repair of Delamination and Peeling Coating
Delamination is, as you probably know, the peeling away of a laminated layer. This often occurs with older (Plastisol) cladding or panels on roofs and facades. Facades that are exposed to the sun are often the most affected. UV radiation gradually depletes the plasticizers from the PVC coatings, making them sensitive to dirt and causing them to harden. Over time, rain, wind, and other weather influences cause the coating to loosen.
It usually starts with a small area, and then it spreads. Eventually, the layer completely comes off and breaks into small pieces that scatter in the surrounding area. This is inconvenient for neighbors, unpleasant for the environment, and not aesthetically pleasing or beneficial for your building.
Van Heemskerk has developed its own successful repair method for this issue. This method is now being followed by other damage repair companies. As the pioneer of this method, we can counteract delamination, repair peeling coatings, and restore the facade to its original condition.
