Sometimes damage is too extensive to repair, and then the decision is made to replace the panel. This is only possible if the relevant panel is still available and if it is also structurally feasible. That was the case at Citrosuco in Ghent (Belgium), where significant damage was done to two panels on the exterior of their cold and freezer storage facility. The following processes were carried out:
- Dismantling the roof caps
- Detaching the roofing
- Dismantling the damaged panels
- Supplying and installing the new panels
- Replacing the roof caps
- Disposing of the old panels
